Introduction

Protein — the building block of life — is one of the most important nutrients for our body.
It helps build muscles, repair tissues, and produce enzymes & hormones.
Without enough protein, the body becomes weak, immunity drops, and growth slows down.

In simple words:

Protein वो तत्व है जो शरीर को बनाता, ठीक करता और मज़बूत रखता है।


What is Protein? (प्रोटीन क्या है?)

Protein हमारे शरीर का एक ऐसा पोषक तत्व है जो growth, repair, immunity और energy के लिए ज़रूरी है।
हर सेल (cell) में प्रोटीन मौजूद होता है — इसलिए इसे “Building Block of Body” कहा जाता है।

प्रोटीन के छोटे टुकड़ों को Amino Acids कहा जाता है।
इनमें से कुछ शरीर खुद बनाता है, और कुछ हमें food sources से लेने पड़ते हैं।


Types of Protein (प्रोटीन के प्रकार)


Complete Proteins (पूर्ण प्रोटीन)

जिनमें सभी 9 essential amino acids मौजूद होते हैं।
Sources: Eggs, Chicken, Fish, Milk, Paneer, Soy, Whey Protein
Helps in muscle growth, recovery, and strong immunity.


Incomplete Proteins (अपूर्ण प्रोटीन)

जिनमें कुछ amino acids की कमी होती है।
Sources: Pulses (dal, rajma, chana), Nuts, Seeds, Grains
Mixing dal + rice or roti + sabzi makes it a complete protein.


Plant-Based Proteins (प्लांट बेस्ड प्रोटीन)

Perfect for vegetarians — high in fiber, low in fat.
Sources: Soybean, Lentils, Quinoa, Peas, Chia Seeds, Tofu, Spirulina
Good for heart & digestion.


Animal-Based Proteins (एनिमल बेस्ड प्रोटीन)

Easy to absorb & rich in all essential amino acids.
Sources: Eggs, Fish, Chicken, Meat, Milk, Yogurt
Ideal for athletes & fitness lovers.


Functional Proteins (शरीर के अंदर बनने वाले प्रोटीन)

शरीर कुछ प्रोटीन खुद बनाता है जो health functions के लिए ज़रूरी हैं —

  • Collagen – skin, joints, bones

  • Hemoglobin – oxygen transport

  • Enzymes & Hormones – digestion, metabolism

  • Antibodies – immunity & protection


Daily Protein Requirement (दैनिक आवश्यकता)

Protein की ज़रूरत हर व्यक्ति की lifestyle पर निर्भर करती है —

  • Normal person: 0.8 – 1.2 gm/kg body weight

  • Active / Gym person: 1.5 – 2.0 gm/kg body weight

Example: अगर आपका वजन 60 kg है, तो आपको लगभग 60–90 gm protein daily चाहिए।


How to Include Protein in Daily Diet?

सुबह – Milk, Curd, Oats, Eggs, Sprouts
दोपहर – Dal, Rajma, Soy, Paneer
रात – Chicken/Fish or Dal + Roti combo
Snacks – Nuts, Seeds, Protein Shake
